NOTE: Discounted registration rates are available to attendees from countries classified by the World Bank as low-income (Tier1) and lower-middle income (Tier 2) economies.  These income classifications are updated each year on 1 July.  Please refer to the World Bank’s website for information on their classification system and for the latest list of Tier 1 and 2 countries. Attendees must currently reside in the low-income or lower-middle income country in order to be eligible to receive the registration rate.

Guest Policy

By 17 April, registered attendees may purchase guest passes at $35 USD each.  After 17 April, guest passes are $50.  A guest is a spouse, friend, or adult child (18 years old and older) who is not working in a geophysical sciences-related occupation or field.  A colleague or associate working in a related geophysical sciences field or studying geophysics in school may not be registered and attend as a guest.  Registered guests may not attend the scientific sessions; however, they may visit the Exhibit Hall and attend the Ice Breaker. Guests may also purchase tickets to events, at the advertised rates.

Cancellation Policy

Written notification of registration cancellations must be e-mailed to the Joint Assembly registration team. Cancellations received by 8 April 2015 will receive a complete refund.  Cancellations received between 9 April and 17 April 2015 will have a $50 USD processing fee deducted from their refund.  No refunds will be issued for registrations or ticketed events cancelled after 17 April 2015.
